Who I am |
I'm an artist, a maker. I set my mind and hands to working on anything from drawings to wooden bowls, and gold-leaf (gilt) objects. I also restore old frames, gild on glass, & clean and
preserve paintings, sculptures & art objects. Taking on new projects presents opportunity--a chance to utilize creative problem-solving skills.
I absolutely live to work with my hands. Create, Fix. Revive. Creativity takes many forms, and requires many skill sets--the result is symphonic. I have a foundation in photography, experimenting with alternative process, and to this day, I use a Polaroid camera--taking it with me wherever I travel. I received my BFA at Elmira College and took classes in a wide variety of subjects and media: bronze casting, ceramics, oil painting, printmaking, and drawing. I found fluency in these areas, and still utilize my skills in these areas to the best of my ability. I earned my MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston at Tufts University in 2015, adding to my toolbox wood carving, digital media, mould-making, and welding. At present, I do all the artistic work I can get my hands on and I love every minute of the process. |
